'Values' have been on my mind for a wee while now, and now it keeps cropping up everywhere thanks to the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.
Values are defined as, "principles or standards of behaviour; one's judgement of what is important in life".
My thinking around values has become even stronger since I spoke with my lovely friend Jenna about the opportunity for her to facilitate a workshop for Kamala. Jenna and I have the most amazing walk n talks, where we talk about all sorts of things.
Jenna is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to personality traits, cognitive behaviour, psychology and so much more - I'm so excited for her to share her ideas with us all for the April workshop!
So, I've obviously been giving a lot of thought to my values. I've always known that one of my values is Acceptance of Individuality as I've always loved how unique and individual we all are. Let's make that Radical Acceptance, because I don't do things by halves.
Another value that is important to me is Self Responsibility, or accountability. It is important to me that we all take responsibility for the decisions we make, and the consequences - positive and (sometimes more importantly) negative.
Gratitude for any generosity shown to you is up there. I don't think we should expect generosity, but be grateful when we receive it, and try to pay it forward when we are in a position to do so.
And Fierce Loyalty. If you have earnt my loyalty you never need to wonder if I've got your back.
